Message from the President

Dear friends,

Many successful activities this summer : general assembly, musical concert, tennis tournament, cultural outings, the barbecue, the gourmet get-togethers in Nyon and at Fréterolles, various hiking, the ARM members’ picnic and this year in Morzine, the « big Portes du Soleil Residents’Picnic » which has been such a great success gathering around 170 residents.

This event was so successful thanks to:

• The responsible members of «La Battante Association» : Benoit Tavernier, the President and all his team, as well as the president of the association “History and Heritage” : Madame Jacqueline Couttet.
• The presence of the Mayor of Morzine and his assistants. We also had the pleasure to have with us Mr. Rubin, Mayor of Chatel, also 1st vice president of “Conseil  départemental” de Haute Savoie,
• The General Manager of the Morzine Tourist Office.
• The musician, Maurice BOISNART who has allowed this get-together to be pretty animated.
• The punch served as apéritif was greatly appreciated, cheese and cold meat were just delicious, all this coordinated by the key members of the ARM association. Many thanks and congratulations to all. Also many thanks to the local people of Morzine who joined us

Now let’s look at the forthcoming winter, a period during which ARM activities run in “slow motion” mode.
The Residents’ Slalom will take place on Wednesday 25 February 2026, organized with the help and support of Michel Grange ESF Director, as well as the Tourist Office. This slalom is open to anyone and we look forward to a great participation.
Jean-François Berger, Mayor of Morzine, is candidate for his re-election for the next 6 years mandate. ARM members wish him good luck.

We have started to think of the best way to celebrate the 50 years anniversary of the ARM association. The date of Sunday August 9 has been chosen. We will have lunch at Etiennes’s restaurant at the top of Pleney. We will work on the details later on. This celebration will be open to all the inhabitants of Morzine who will wish to join us.
If all goes well, I will be arriving in Morzine on December 22nd.

In the meantime, I wish you and your families the very best for Christmas and year-end celebrations.
And a last big thank you to my “Claudettes” for their administrative support throughout the year.
